Extensions Remi Hair
Explaining Remi Hair Extensions
If you’ve been interested in getting hair extensions, you’ve likely started doing some research on the topic. Are you confused by all the
terminology you’ve been hearing but maybe don’t understand? If you’ve investigated the world of hair extensions, you’ve probably heard of remi
hair extensions. So, what are they, and how do they differ from other extensions? We will gladly explain this for you.
Remi hair extensions are also often referred to as remy hair extensions. The term remi originates from Indian women who donated their hair to
their temple for life’s blessings. For today’s use, “remi” means something quite different- it simply refers to the way the hair is organized for
the hair extension. These extensions are made of real human hair, not synthetic hair.
Remi hair extensions are generally the most popular type of hair extension used, and there are several reasons why. It falls in the middle for
price and quality- it isn’t the most expensive hair, and it is much better quality than the cheaper hair. Remi hair extensions are regarded as
better quality than the cheaper version because the human hair is all lying in one direction (as by cutting off together in one ponytail) with
the cuticle remaining intact. Having the cuticle intact is preferred and makes for a much better quality extension. Much of the remi hair has
been chemically treated for the different hair colour selections you will find. The textures of the hair vary depending on what you like-
straight, wavy, etc.
If you were to purchase cheaper human quality hair, you could opt for non-remi hair extensions. This hair is much cheaper because it is easier
to come across. It is generally collected from cut hair clippings, even from hair brushes. As a result, it isn’t laid out top to bottom like
remi-hair. It is usually processed through a chemical bath to remove the cuticle, which is very damaging. As well, it tends to tangle much easier
than remi-hair.
If you’re looking for really top quality hair extensions, you’ll want to look for virgin or raw hair. This refers to hair that has had
absolutely no chemical processing. It is much harder to find, which accounts for its expensive price tag.
With this little mini course, you should have a basic understanding as to what remi hair extensions
are, and how they compare to other types of human hair extensions. Remi hair extensions are a great
choice if you’re thinking of giving extensions a try in your hair!
